Bordeaux, festival city
Throughout the year, many events also highlight local and regional culture, including a large program of festivals during the summer.
Some local events not to be missed:
- March: Carnival des 2 Rives (of the two shores)
- April: Bordeaux marathon
- June: every two years, (alternating), Bordeaux Wine Festival or Bordeaux River Festival
- August: Festival Reggae Sun Ska at Talence. The largest reggae festival in France
- September: the very festive Medoc Marathon
- September : Architecture BiennaleAgora
- November : Novart, the Scenic Arts Biennale
