Travelling to the Youth Hostel
- If you arrive by train, the hostel is located 10 minutes walk from the Gare Saint-Jean Train Station.
- From the Bordeaux-Merignac Airport, a shuttle runs to Gare Saint-Jean every 45 minutes. We would suggest you allow about 30 minutes each way.
- If you arrive by car, follow the signs for Gare Saint-Jean then take the road Cours de la Marne towards the Place de la Victoire. The Cours Barbey is the third street on the left after the Post Office.
- Public transport: Bus Lines 16 and 11 (stop Meunier) or Tramway Line C (Stop Tauzia or Gare Saint-Jean).
- Finally, two Vcub stations (Self-service bicycles in the Urban Community of Bordeaux) are next to the Youth Hostel.
Schedule
The reception is open 24 hours a day from 1st April till 31st October, and closed from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. from 1st November to 31st March.
The luggage room is accessible when reception is open.
Once you have paid for your stay, you’ll be given a badge that allows you to access the hostel 24 hours a day.
Breakfast, self-service, is available from 7:30 to 10:30 in the cafeteria.
For housekeeping:
Rooms are available from 4:00 P.M. on the day of arrival and must be vacated at 11:00 A.M on departure day.
Room access is closed from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. to allow for cleaning.
Access to the kitchen is closed from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M.
